A native of Athens-Clarke County, Paul Joseph Oeland IV graduated from Clarke Central High School in Athens. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Romance Languages from the University of Georgia in 1993 and his Masters Degree in Latin American Studies from the University of New Mexico in 1995. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University Of Georgia School Of Law and was admitted to the bar in 1998.
Working together since 1999, David and Paul established LaMalva & Oeland, P.C. in 2004 in Conyers, Georgia. The practice has since expanded with the opening of another location in Midtown Atlanta.
In 2009, Paul was selected as a member of Leadership Georgia, one of the nation’s oldest and most successful leadership-training programs for young business, civic and community leaders with the desire and potential to work together for a better Georgia.
He is a member of the Family Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association, Family Law Section of the Dekalb County Bar Association, as well as the Family Law Section of the Georgia Bar Association, Newton County Bar Association, and the Rockdale County Bar Association.
Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Newton County, the Planning Commission for Covington, Georgia, and on the Advisory Panel for the Paralegal Studies Program at Dekalb Technical College.
